The Commission is advised by the Administration Clerk of the
Administration
Committee, the Finance and Services Committee, and the

The Administration Committee’s remit is to “consider the
services provided for and by the House”. In practice this
means services provided for Members of Parliament, as
well as services provided by the House of Commons for
others, such as visitors to the House. The committee may
take evidence in public and make reports on specific matters
to the House. The Committee’s main function is to advise
the Commission. The informal Works of Art Committee is
appointed by the Speaker to advise him on matters relating
to works of art in the House of Commons.
The Administration Committee is largely advisory, with
limited delegated decision making powers. It advises the
Speaker and Commission and is intended to reflect the
perspective of Members on the provision of these
House-wide services.
The Finance and Services Committee has responsibility Clerk of the
